A wax burner, also known as a wax warmer, is used to warm scented wax called wax melts or wax tarts. They slowly melt them down to release the fragrance, creating a relaxing atmosphere. There are 2 types of burners: electric and tea light. Electric wax burners plug into an outlet and use a heat source (most often a small light bulb) under the melting cup to warm pieces of scented wax and release the fragrance into the room. Tea light burners are also simple. You place a teal light candle into the bottom of the burners and light. this will produce heat to melt the wax melt placed on the top of the burner.

Wax melts are becoming more and more popular as an alternative to candles.
